4th Annual Golf Tournament Scores a Hole-In-One

The College of Natural Resources for the 4th consecutive year scored a hole-in-one with it’s Fourth Annual Golf Tournament fundraiser, which provides scholarship and more for students in the PGA Golf Management and Paper Science and Engineering programs.

In it’s fourth year, the event sponsored by the NC State Natural Resources Foundation, Inc. raised approximately, $8,600 which will be split evenly between the two programs. The foundation supports the College of Natural Resources through scholarships, fellowships, professorships, academic programs, research, facility and lab improvements and student programs that are not typically supported through state funding.

Scholarships helps retain and reward students who are doing great things. It’s very important to be able to offer them to high achieving student in both programs.

The tournament continues to gain momentum as it attract golfers who have a passion to compete and others that simply enjoy time out with friends. This year 21 teams totaling 84 participants enjoyed 18 holes playing at Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh. Aside from golfing activities included TrackMan swing assessment, a variety of competitions and plenty of networking opportunities as well as lunch and beverages.

Planning ahead, The College of Natural Resources’ Fifth Annual Golf Tournament will be held on March 22, 2024. To preview this years event check out the photo album.
